So I've pretty much always been passionate about art.
In 1996 I was 9 years old. I did a drawing of Rex from Toy Story, and I specifically remember being excited about how the finished image looked. I recognized it as being of significantly better quality than a lot of my other drawings. It was the first time I can remember having that feeling. And it's a feeling I've been constantly chasing ever since.
In the spirit of that feeling of progress, I wanted to share some comparison images. These are some my favorite characters of all time, whose stories and art styles have had a profound impact on me creatively, and continue to inspire me today. The left image was done around the year 2000, and the right was done within the last couple of years.
